(Ephemera) Middle East Forces Cristmas Card 1943, red/cream card "Greetings from His Majesty's Middle East Forces/ Christmas 1943", sent in window envelope postmarked Field  POst Office/S6 ***, ms 'On Active Service', vilet 'Passed by Censor/No 4170'. The British Middle East Command, which controlled Allied forces in both Southwest Asia and eastern North Africa. From 1943, most of the action and forces concerned were in the adjoining Mediterranean Theatre.
