Plain cover having a red/black airmail etiquette with black cross control mark applied by the Bureau de Saigon (used until 30/6/31) testifying the franking was correct. Also a red/black 'Service Accelere' label used from 1929 to April 1936 to permit acceleration of letters between Saigon and Hanoi over, as yet, un built sections of the Transindochinese railway. The duration of the journey was less than 3 days and the postal surcharge was 5 cents, but this was not always applied, see Picirilli p80. A Correctly RATED 66c (60c air charge + 6c colonial).
