The City of Basra was damaged at take of at Salisbury. Mail was transferred to City of Delhi which had to make an emergency landing due to bad weather near Broken Hill. Mail was transferred to City of Baghdad and arrived in Athens 9 days later than scheduled.

Military censorship of the mails was still the rule in Spain for some years after the end of the Civil War. Correctly rated for carriage by LATI from Spain to South America. Carried by LATI  all the way from Rome to Buenos Aires thus avoiding British censorship on the Pan Am North Atlantic service (the LATI service was extended from Rio de Janero to BA in July 1941), and by Condor or Panagra to Montevideo. Description: Spain to Uruguay, flown by LATI, a scarce censored WWII grey/pale brown airmail envelope with winged logo, Villa Franca to Montevideo, b/s 15/7/41, franked 7P canc Aracina/Huelva 4/3/41 cds Spanish purple boxed "Censura Gubernativa/Madrid" censor mark on departure. Military censorship of the mails was still the rule in Spain for some years after the end of the Civil War. Correctly rated for carriage by LATI from Spain to South America. Carried by LATI all the way from Rome to Buenos Aires thus avoiding British censorship on the Pan Am North Atlantic service (the LATI service was extended from Rio de Janero to BA in July 1941), and by Condor or Panagra to Montevideo. (Sudan) Return of RAF test flight from Khartoum to Abu Suwer, 17 Jan 1926 arrival hs on front, signed by pilot V.C.Stonar, plain cover, violet three line "By Return of/Special Flight/Cairo to Khartoum" and violet "Khartoum 15/1/25" hs's. This flight was undertaken by RAF Squadron No. 47 as a test of the Fairey IIID aircraft equipped with the Napier Lion engine, and as a prelude to the Cairo-Cape Town flight planned for later in the year.
