Description: Cocos (Keeling) Islands, the first RAAF Survey flight to Papua New Guinea and the Solomons was in 1926. A 50th Anniversary re-enactment flight departed from Melbourne on 27th September 1976, landed at Port Moresby on the 29th and on the return leg reached Guadalcanal on 2nd October.
