Description: Indochina to Madagascar, SAIGON TO TAMATAVE, left Bangkok 5/1, carried on Air France Far East service weekly service to Baghdad b/s 10/1 where it was transferred to the Imperial Airways westbound service IW 405 and carried on 'Hengist' to Cairo b/s 12/1 where it was transferred to Imperial Airways Africa southbound service AS 309 and carried by 'Horsa' to Nairobi 18/1 and on to Broken Hill b/s 19/1 by 'Artemis', delivered Tamative b/s 3/2. Delay possibly because the Reggie Malagache plane intended for this service was damaged, and the pilot J.Assolant hurt in an earlier crash at Tananarive airport on 9/1 (see Nierinck #360109). Plain cover franked $1.38. A superb item. Three different air services, five different postmarks, great routing and associated with an Interruption/Crash. Ex Proud.
