Description: UK to South Africa, TRIPLE RATE LONDON TO JOHANNESBURG by Imperial Airways Africa southbound special Christmas service # leaving Croydon 9/12 arriving Johannesburg 21/12 b/s, franked 3/- triple rate. This service was extended experimentally to Cape Town in order to position and test aircraft over the new southern part of the route in preparation for the opening of the regular service, which commenced in January 1932. Also the first southbound Africa service by de Havilland DH66 G-EBMX 'City of Delhi'.
