Description: SCADTA "Consular" one cover system, Germany to Colombia, Hamburg to Bogota, bs 2/2/33. , via Barranquilla, 29/12 , where a 30c Scadta "A" 1923 '12mm' consular opt was affixed well clear of other adhesives and cancelled with fine strike red 'Servicio/Scatda/Barranquila/31.XII 1925. The cover was then forwarded to Bogota. A plain cover franked Germany 25pf tied dated Hamburg 5.12.25 cds, black/green "Par Avion/Barranqulla-Neiva" etiquette issued in Berlin for customers in Germany and rated rare by Mair. The one cover system used a single envelope which had to include the appropriated national surface rate. This saved SCADTA time and money as they no longer had to affix the national stamp. Super early item.
