Description: India, KARACHI TO MAURITIUS, departed Karachi 19/2 on the Imperial Airways Eastern Service flight #IW 627 and carried by HANNIBAL TO ALEXANDRIA/CAIRO ARRIVING 22/2. Transferred to Imperial Airways Africa Service flight #DS 69 on 26/2 and carried to Khartoum on Corsair (FLYING BOAT), to Kisumu on Calpurnia (FLYING BOAT), and to Durban on Castor (FLYING BOAT) arriving 1/3. Then carried by sea to Mauritius b/s Rose Hill/ 10 MR 38/Mauritius cds. The only ship arriving that day was the MV 'HOUTMAN' OF KONINKLIJKE PAKETVAART-MAATSCHAPPIJ (KPM), a Dutch shipping company (1888?1966) The line's routes included the Indian Ocean ports of Rיunion and Mauritius and Mahי.
