Likely surface from Milan to Rome (290 miles), then on flying boat 'Castor' by BOAC POOLE-KISUMU service KS141 departing Rome 7/3 to Kisumu 12/3, then transferred to BOAC Durban- South service DS255, but remaining on board 'Castor' for carriage to Mozambique, arriving 16/3, delivered Umtali bs 18/3. Imprint airmail etiquette cover, black 'Par Avion' bilingual hs, large 'P.B.C' hs, Franked L2.25 for air rate. Flight KS141 experienced three interruptions - one day at Biscarosse due to bad weather, one day at Bracciano because the captain was unwell, and one day at Kisumu because flight was "waiting special passengers at Air Ministry request". However DS255 made up one day during its flight to Mozambique. Ex Proud.
