Description: Interrupted flight, South Africa To USA, CAPE TOWN TO NEW YORK by Imperial Airways Africa Northbound service AN90 which left CapeTown 23/11 on C.Karachi arriving Croydon 4/12, then by sea to New York, 14/12 private dated receiver. Plain cover, airmail etiquette annulled by red double bar Jusqu'a applied in London, RATED 1/3. The City of Stonehaven flying boat, having departed Juba to schedule on 28/11 should have arrived at Khartoum the same day. However, she made an unscheduled overnight stop at Kosti (reason unknown) and did not reach Khartoum until the following morning. Here the service was taken over by the AW Argosy City of Arundel, arriving at Wadi Halfa on 30/11 and on to Cairo 30/11. Thereafter Scipio continued the service to schedule.
