Attractive World Fliers Half-Way House cover franked 8 annas. Flown by City of Tehran from Karachi 2/6, arriving Bushire one day late 4/6, made two onward attempts for Basra, first on an unknown 'relief plane' but had to return,and on the second attempt flew into a sandstorm and landed at Amarah short of fuel. The Indian mail eventually arrived at Baghdad 14 hours late on 4/6, see Wingent p18.
