They also carried 8 letters for carriage from Brisbane to Noumea of which this is one. Airmail etiquette cover franked 6d, canc Brisbane 5/4, Noumea 5 Avril arrival ds on front. Signed by Baron de Verneith with explanatory tnd fine strike of french Governor's Seal applied at New Caledonia (also signed). he plane crashed on arrival at Tontouta Airport, NC but the crew escaped injury. THE EUSTIS SIGNED EXAMPLE SOLD FOR $2,013 AD. A great item in absolutely superb condition.
