Description: HANNO CRASH AT ENTEBBE ? return to service after repair, After HP42 'Hanno' crashed at Entebbe on 6 October 1935, she was dismantled and taken to England for repairs which took six months to complete. On 27 April 1936 she left Croydon on a redistribution flight to Cairo where she arrived on 2 May. She then took over service AS341 on 8 May and operated it as far as Kisumu. Airmail etiquette cover franked 50c, Tanganyika to South Africa, MOGORO TO JOHANNESBURG, posted Mogoro 8/5/36, then by the UP T.P.O (8/5) to Dodoma b/s 9/5, where it joined the Imperial Airways southbound flight #AS 341 one day late. Carried on 'Hanno' to Kisumu (see above) where it transferred to 'Amalthea' for OAT to Johannesburg 13/5 via Broken Hill 13/5. Slight rough opening top edge visible from back only, see scan. Good routing with a combination of interesting features.
