Description: South Africa to Germany. By flight leaving 30 August, Imperial Airways Africa Northbound service AN130 which arrived Athens 7 September. On by Lufthansa, delivered 9 September (firms chop). Franked 6d for air rate. DELAY. Service AN 130 delayed one day at Athens . It was flown by service AN 130, operated by the HP42 Horsa, which departed Khartoum 06.00 on 5 Sept. and arrived Cairo 6th where the service was taken over by the Short Kent Sylvanus which departed Alexandria to schedule on the 7th and should have arrived Brindisi the same day. However, she made an unscheduled overnight stop at Athens (reason unknown) and so did not reach Brindisi until the 8th.
