Description: BANKIPORE TO LONDON, 1800km by surface to Karachi then by IMPERIAL AIRWAYS flight IW204 by Helena to Athens, Satyrus to Brindisi, rail to Paris, then Heracles to London, registered (label) bank cover franked 10 1/2 annas and intact wax seal verso. Flying from Egypt Satyrus ran out of petrol an had to make a force landing on the sea at Cape Sunion. A launch wa sent out from the air force base at Phaleron and the seaplane and eight passengers towed back to base where it was refuelled and continued on its way with minimum delay. See Wingent, p94
