Description: LONDON TO NOVA SCOTIA, bs 15/9, carried to Plymouth on the International Airlines/Western Air Express, London to Plymouth and on by sea to destination. Scarce late usage of short lived service, plain cover franked 1 1/2d cancelled on arrival Plymouth 4 Sep 33, black/yellow 'IA/Western Air Express' stamp tied by purple oval "International Airlines/3 Sep 1933/Plymouth" and four line "Travel By/The/Western Air/Express". This service was poorly advertised and short lived. Relatively few covers were carried and none are common. Covers exist carried on 24, 25 and 26 August and 1 Sept, 1933. Covers carried on other dates may exist but "I have not seen any". See Redgrove p18.
