Description: Edinburgh to New York , mixed franking KG VI 6d air letter, posted on arrival in London canc Kensington 8 Dec/1951 airletter , also green/cream 6d BEA letter stamp with ms (+1) tied by black framed violet three line 'BEA/ 6 Dec 1951/Edinburgh 2' hs (see Lister, p14). US violet US 'Not Called For' and framed 'Undelivered for Reason Stated/Return to Sender' hs's. applied in New York. Rated 1/- overall, carried BEA from Edinburgh to London then OAT to New York, then returned to sender. An interesting one for the exhibit. Image.
