Carried by landplane to Damascus, bus/car to Beirut, and CAMS 53 flying boat to Marseille. The CAMS 53 was a transport flying boat built in France in the late 1920s, operated by Aeropostale, Air Orient and Air Union. Printed 'Parfumiere Paul Prat' commercial cover, grey/black etiquette, ms 'Saigon-Marseille-Paris', round red 'Controle/Avion' handstamp (used by the Bureau de Saigon between 1931-34, to testify correct franking for airmail letters (see 'Ligne Nogues', Collot & Cornu, p255).
