Description: First UK acceptance for 1st Gladstone flight, addressed to 'His Honour Justice Guthrie Smith', franked 7 1/2d canc London Foreign Section 10/3 cds to Kampala, arrival ds 4/4, via Kisumu 31/3, bears red circular cachet for "Keyna-Sudan Air Mail" verso. The reason there is no red cachet "Service officially arranged to operate from London March 10 1927, but abandoned due to breakdown of hydroplane on Lake Victoria" is because the mailing of this particular cover was not arranged by Francis Field.
