Description: First airmail by flying boat, GB to Egypt, SOUTHAMPTON-ALEXANDRIA, bs 15/12, carried all the way by 'Centaurus' via Marseilles and Athens on IMPERIAL AIRWAYS eastbound service IE505 and SIGNED BY JOINT COMMANDERS CAPTAINS I.A.EGGLESFIELD AND E.S.ALCOCK. Tied airmail etiquette cover, typed franked 3d with large 'Flying Boat' hs addressed to Tanta 130km SE Alexandria, bs 16/12. Also fine unused B&W photocard showing Centaurus G-ADUT on water, and six press cuttings (C300 words total) including 3x3cm head and shoulders pictures of both captains. Superb lot in fine condition.
