Description: GB to NEW ZEALAND, Imperial Airways/West Australian Airways, first British acceptance of reduced airmail PC's for New Zealand. LONDON to TIMARU, bs 16/9. By air, Horatius & Hengist to Brindisi, Satyrus to Cairo and Hannibal to Karachi (via Tiberias), then surface to New Zealand. PC franked 3d, flown on IAW eastbound service IE177 which carried the first dispatch of postcards from GB to India at the new reduced 3d air mail rate.
