Correctly rated for carriage by air by BOAC/KLM to Lisbon, Pan Am FAM 18 to New York, US domestic airline to San Francisco, Pan Am FAM 14 to Auckland and TEAL to Australia. Trans Pacific Route',  sealed India OBC brown/red crown censor tape tied by crown in triangle censor mark. Correctly rated  5/-  at 'The Two Ocean' rate, for carriage all the way by air by BOAC/KLM to Lisbon, FAM 18 to New York, US internal airline to San Francisco, FAM 14 to Hong Kong then OAT to India.  Until May 22, 1941 the only airmail route to India was by sea to South Africa, then onward transmission by air.  A great item, full of history.

Carried by LATI  all the way from Rome to Buenos Aires thus avoiding British censorship on the Pan Am North Atlantic service (the LATI service was extended from Rio de Janero to BA in July 1941), and by Condor or Panagra to Montevideo.
