Correctly rated 3/11d for the Pacific 'all air' service to CANADA, carried by TEAL to New Zealand, Pan Am FAM19 to San Francisco, then US/Canadian internal air service to Ottawa (Boyle p860). This service opened on 3/7/40 when Italy entered the war and closed Mediterranean section of the long established Empire (Kangaroo) route through Europe and across the Indian Ocean.
