Airmail cover addressed to the eminent aerophilatelist JHC Godfrey, franked 2/- Bermuda stamps canc St George's/24 Jun 39,  ms "P.A.Airways/Northern Route". At Southampton transferred to Imperial Airways Africa Southbound service DS 210 and carried to W. Halfa by Cariolanus and on to Durban by Cassiopeia, see Wingent p173. Ms verso '13 recorded' to GB'. Not listed in W.J. Clarke 1990. This is the first acceptance for South Africa via the Northern Service we have seen in 20 years and believe it could possibly be the only one, but this will need verification by an expert..
