(Interruptions and Accidents) India to Tanganyika, BOMBAY to DAR ES SALAAM, departed Karachi 14/11 on Imperial Airways westbound service IW293 arriving Cairo bs 16/11 where it transferred to IAW Africa southbound service AS194 one day late because flying boat Sylvanus was delayed at Athens by headwinds. Printed commercial cover datestamped Bombay 12/11, backstamped Cairo 16/11 and Dar es Salaam 21/11.The AS194 Brindisi-Cairo section was scheduled to be flown in one day, but after Sylvanus arrived at Athens her departure was delayed by headwinds until next morning. The service continued to run one day late until departure from Salisbury on 22/11. The cover was off-loaded at Kisumu on the 20th and was then flown to Dar es Salaam the next day by Wilson Airways' Coastal Service. A truly rare three airline item with fantastic routing, refs Wingent ,and ex the Ted Proud 
collection.

Printed commercial cover datestamped Bombay 12/11, backstamped Cairo 16/11 and Dar es Salaam 21/11.The AS194 Brindisi-Cairo section was scheduled to be flown in one day, but after Sylvanus arrived at Athens her departure was delayed by headwinds until next morning. The service continued to run one day late until departure from Salisbury on 22/11. The cover was off-loaded at Kisumu on the 20th and was then flown to Dar es Salaam the next day by Wilson Airways' Coastal Service.
