Alexandria flying boat after a delay of 24 hrs (reason unknown), and arrived Nairobi 8/9 via Malakal 7/9. Transferred to the Wilson Airways Nairobi-Mombasa-Tanga-Zanzibar service arriving the same day at Zanzibar 8/9 BS. Commercial corner cover ms 'Par Avion' RATED F13.50 canc Paris cds, tied grey blue/airmail etiquette and ms 'Par Avion'. A delayed/interrupted flight with scarce routing, good research documentation, great provenance, and in fine condition. A rare exhibit item.

Plain cover RATED 1/-. SWAA was the first commercial air service in South West Africa. It operated from 1930 until 1935, when it was taken over by South African Airways (SAA).
