A further day was lost at Beaufort West because of very bad weather but the City of Jodhpur had made up time when it arrived at Kisumu and thereafter, by only making a 'one night stop' (at Broken Hill) instead of the normal two (by overflying Salisbury and Mbeya), the schedule was regained and the cover arrived in London on schedule.
