The CAMS 53 was a transport flying boat built in France in the late 1920s, operated by Aeropostale, Air Orient and Air Union. Plain cover having a red/black airmail etiquette with black cross control mark applied by the Bureau de Saigon (used until 30/6/31) testifying the franking was correct. Flight interrupted because the mail for Europe had to be sorted again in Athens as well as Alexandria. Thereafter, for all future flights, it was arranged that all correspondence for Europe would be in a direct mail for
