Turned back half way across Tasman due to engine trouble and 97% of original cargo was jettisoned over the sea. Plane returned to Mascot Aerodrome and surviving covers carried by ship to Wellington. The Wellington bs 23/5 within a single line circle is the only true authentication of genuinely flown covers on this flight.
