Description: 1911 First South African Aerial Post, second outward flight Kenilworth to Muizenberg, souvenir card with date error franked Cape of Good Hope 1/2d, tied by Kenilworth Dec 27 special postmark, alongside a Muizenberg Dec-30 special postmark ,and a Muizenberg 3 Jan arrival cds. When originally posted, a small number of second outward flight cards, such as this one, mistakenly received a 'Dec 27' (date of first flight) instead of the correct 'Dec 30' cachet. No more than 15 such are thought to exist, ref Arrow N. pers. com., and South African Airmails, 2nd Ed, Arrow N. # A.12.1a (i). Fine.
