(Mozambique) South Africa Airways, Laurenco Marques to Durban, bs 20/7, Robertson cover with black/grey blue postage due label type M-13  tied by a special "Posta AereaMozambique/19-7-37/ Laurenco Marques" postmark, also a 'T/3d' in black oval hs which has been crossed out. This cover was carried on the first return of the first regular Laurenco Marques to Johannesburg mail only feeder service which connected at Durban with the Imperial Airways Southampton-Durban flying boat service to expedite the mail to England. Covers posted at Laurenco Marques and carried on the first return flight are the most interesting because they bear no postage stamps. Flight DN103 was the first sevice carrying African mail to connect at Alexandria with the first Singapore-Sydney 'C' Class flying boat service, see Wingent p152. A nice exhibit item.

Airways, first direct airmail from Portuguese East to Portuguese West Africa, Mozambique to Luanda, Angola, bs 30/7, blue/cream Netto registered (label) printed "First Air Mail/D.E.T.A service" souvenir cover franked 1E10c, canc hexagonal Posta Aerea/Mocambique ds. This flight also commemorated the first official visit of the President of the Portuguese Republic to Angola. A rare item in fine condition.

(Mozambique) Scarce first acceptance of Lourenco Marques mail for Johannesburg, bs 4/11, for carriage on the new post war BOAC service for Durban via Vaaldam. Netto cover addressed to J.Robertson, correctly rated 1Es 20c tying blue/white MO13 airmail etiquette. The first acceptance from Lourenco Marques was on January 1st, but it was not until the fifth flight, on February 3, that mail was accepted for Johannesburg..
