Carried by Ala Littoria to Rome, then LATI from Rome to Rio, then Syndicato Condor to Buenos Aires, thus avoiding British censorship on the Pan Am North Atlantic service. Hungarian censorship was applied selectively from June 1940, then to all mail from June 1941. Mail from Hungary has been recorded as received in US without censorship, as late as June 41 ( Boyle p474).  Transit mail through Italy, particularly if carried by an Italian airline en route to a neutral country was not always censored. No information on LATI rates to South America is availble at present. Due to rough opening, 2cm tapering to 1cm of the front lh edge of this cover is missing, but this has not affected the stamps, postmarks, etc. The envelope still has its original contents.
