Paillard-Le Brix intended F/F from Hanoi to France, franked 1c, 40c and 50c. The 1c is tied by a Hanoi/Tonkin cds which also ties black/red 'Service Accelere and 'Par Avion' labels, and the 40c and 50c stamps are tied by Hanoi/Tonkin cds's and a black  “PREMIER VOYAGE POSTAL PAR AVION INDOCHINE FRANCE” cachet, also the ms 'Par Avion' has bee crossed out., The cover is backstamped SAIGON CENTRAL COCHINCHINE cds dated (25 Feb). Because of the crashes of inbound flights, the planned return airmail service was aborted and the mail went by sea to Europe. The cover has an ironed vertical crease and the flap is missing. A scarce and interesting cover none the less. Muller #8, 1000ff/ Image.

An early example of the new Hanoi-Bangkok-Marseille route which opened on 1/2/35. This cover experience a route diversion to avoid flying over Greece which was having political problems, and the two day delay in the flight time appears to confirm this. A cover with several interesting features.
